Data Engineer - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 months with potential for extension    
Contracting Authority: The Department for Work and Pensions
Location: Hybrid – Newcastle or Leeds 2 days per week

The Data Engineer will help redesign and clean up our current PowerBI workspaces, reports and App. They will also ensure all the reports follow a standard structure and provide clear and concise information using the correct visuals.

As a Data Engineer your main responsibilities would be: 
•    SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
•    Developing accurate, efficient data solutions which meet customer needs to agreed timescales. 
•    Ensuring the stability, robustness and resilience of the products that have be designed and built.
•    Identifying, managing and resolving issues preventing the delivery or continuous development of products. 
•    Structuring data to meet the reporting requirements using dimensional or relational techniques.
•    Designing, building and enhancing Dashboards and reporting solutions to meet customer requirements.

Essential:
•    Active SC Clearance.
•    SQL Experience.
•    Experience and knowledge of Azure and Azure Analysis Services Experience.
•    Knowledge and experience of data modelling and transformation. 
•    The ability to understand core technical concepts related to the role and be able to apply them.
•    Be able to identify simple patterns and trends and investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes and contributes to recommending solutions to these.

Desirable:
•    PowerBI knowledge including mquery and DAX.
•    Public Sector Experience.
