The role
As a Road Rail Vehicle Control Supervisor, you will liaise with management on variations and additional work, while at the same time planning and implementing the use of road rail plant and associated staff as required by the construction teams. You will have full responsibility for planning and implementing the RRVC requirements for all sites.

What will you be doing?
• Work in conjunction with the Construction and Project Manager, on the allocation of site labour, subcontractors, and direct workforce to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
• Carry out direct supervision on site of internal workforce, agency labour, sub-contractors and plant, including lifting appliances where certified.
• Ensure productivity and workmanship of staff is at the required standard.
• Identify the Plant supervision requirements for each worksite and implement the allocation of the RRVCs to satisfy the requirement.
• Monitor plant performance, producing weekly KPI's.
• Assist in the procurement process of road rail plant in accordance with current Babcock procedures.

Essential experience
• Sound knowledge of safety procedures associated with working on the Railway.
• Management experience.
• Ability to read and understand lifting plans.
• Ability to cascade lift plan and work plan briefs to relevant staff.
• Experience in the supervision of labour and subcontractors.
• Understanding of competency assessment principles.
• Able to Drive company vehicles if required.
• TSC & ES competence.
• RRVO competent.
• Relevant Safety critical competence certification.
• Must be fully flexible to workdays, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screening (including, but not limited to credit check, personal and employment references, qualification checks and a drugs & alcohol and medical assessment).
