Role:
We are looking for experienced Software Engineers across various different levels to assist in the development of application software for a project within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work on all aspects of PMS automation for electrical, propulsion, ancillary and auxiliary systems, mainly for the T26 PMS project
- To develop and modify control sequences and configurable software components
- To participate in the full software lifecycle for T26 PMS
- To use both standard tools and proprietary software packages under the direction of Software Manager
- To produce and maintain software documentation ensuring full traceability of the software throughout the lifecycle
- To participate in the full software lifecycle for control systems software adhering to company process and procedure
- Participate in reviews of software code, documentation and contractual internal/external design reviews.
- To agree jointly with the T26 PMS project manager or project engineer (or delegated representatives) allocated tasks and timescales in accordance with company standards.
- Familiarity with L3 MAPPS proprietary toolset
- Familiarity with software programming preferred
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent PC skills for documents, spreadsheets and databases
- Eagerness to learn and interest in all aspects of automation system development
- Good reporting and communication skills with Internal & external stakeholders
- Complexity And Creativity - Problem Solving:
- Work is multi-disciplined and large-scale, requiring the ability to adapt quickly to new situations
- Working within company process and procedure, the job involves creativity in the development of design solutions at a high engineering level
- There is a requirement to analyse and decompose complex technical problems with the minimum of supervision or mentoring.
