Location: Flexible worker, working from home with occasionally offering face to face support across Portsmouth, Andover and Wigmore Street.

Purpose of role

Babcock is an international defence company that is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our Business Corporate Services team to maintain, support and implement the desktop environments at a second line level and ensure all IT issues are resolved as quickly as possible to allow our Babcock employees to work as efficiently as possible.

If you were to join us, your duties would include 2nd Line support as required across Babcock International Group. You will be a flexible worker, working from home with face-to-face support across our Portsmouth, Andover, Brize Norton and Wigmore Street sites when required.

Day to Day Duties
• To provide second line technical support through agreed Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators
• Provide second line fault fix to agreed SLA's
• Provide second line request resolution to agreed standards and KPI's
• Maintain Desktop environments to agreed standards
• Maintain Operational and Technical Documentation to agreed standards
• Provide desktop application support where required
• Demonstrate a strong team working capability and support colleagues

Technical Experience
• Knowledge of the ITIL environment and process essential
• Ability to problem solve complex technical issues
• Provide 2nd Line desktop support to users in a MS Win7 and Win10 environment.
• Configure and provide support for business use mobile devices.
• Answering support queries via phone, email and in person.
• Work with a service desk tool to ensure requests are logged, updated and closed to agreed SLA's.
• Resolve any problems/queries relating to the PC's, laptops, Printers, LAN, Videoconference, and other IT and telecommunications systems.
• Liaise with by 3rd line teams to provide support to server and network equipment.

Security Criteria to be achieved:

MoD SC Clearance
Other security clearances as contracts demand e.g., Met Police Security clearance.
