Serco Defence delivers a wide range of support to the prestigious Skynet contract providing secure satellite communication services to the UK Government and Armed Forces. We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to join our team. This role will play a key role within the Skynet contract responsible for assisting with the delivery of the FM Estate and the Skynet contract.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Supporting the FM Department on financial, procedural and subcontractor management where appropriate, in compliance with the SMS.
  • Develop specialist reports and provide detailed reports to Head of FM Services and FM Manager (West) on financial spend, commitments, and latest best estimates for their department.
  • Provide Administration Support, as directed by the Contract Administration Manager
  • Manages administration support to the FM organisation in the West.
  • Assists with monitoring of the contract KPI's for Skynet FM.
  • Provide statistical information and meetings reports for line management on FM services.
  • Prepare and issue contract documentation for tenders and contracts.
  • General administration support to the FM team.
  • Manage MOC Hawthorn hospitality, meeting room, catering, and housekeeping services in respect of Customer Services and staff requirements.
  • Manage own departments work instructions and procedures in accordance with the quality plan and assist with updating FM procedures as necessary.
  • Managing site cleaning at Colerne and Hawthorn.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and key business stakeholders and developing strategic customer relationships.


What you'll need to do the role:
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to deliver formal reports and presentations to both clients and company management.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Programme and project management experience.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and experience of successful service delivery.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge across all business functions including finance, business development, HR, and communications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to achieve SC Clearance prior to appointment.
