Serco DIT require a Wireperson to become part of our experienced workshop team to support our build and support contracts for the manufacture, assembly, repair and delivery of the equipment we provide to our customers across the UK and Europe.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Prototyping, Manufacture and Repair of wiring assemblies, PCBs and systems to a high standard in accordance with Serco Waterlooville's technical drawings, processes and QA procedures.
  • Predominantly this will involve work on electronics, along with the assembly of some simple mechanical items.


What you'll need to do the role
  • Prototype wiring, including developing production methods from the prototypes.
  • Connector and contact assembly, crimping, terminating and tooling (coaxial contacts, triaxial contacts, etc.)
  • Repair and rework of surface-mount PCBs (soldering).
  • Fully conversant with Mechanical/Wiring Drawings.


Applicants will be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
