The Serious Crime Division are seeking applications for a HOLMES Taped Interview Summariser / Typist.
In this role you will provide a balanced, accurate and reliable summary of a tape-recorded interview in accordance with the Manual of Guidance. Together with supporting Major Incidents by providing word processing, audio typing and clerical services to the Investigation team
The successful candidate will be capable of achieving audio-typing speeds of 35 wpm alongside possessing the ability to produce typed/ written work to the required standard within short timescales. Therefore candidates will be required to undergo a keystroke (typing) test prior Interview.
Most suspect and witness Interviews required for typing are available on DIR server (Digital Interview recordings) and can be transcribed directly using a DIR foot pedal.
Applicants must hold full driving licence and use of vehicle for business purposes.
Admin Centre Nexus House, the post-holder receives Casual Mileage and MUST be willing to travel to Major Incident Rooms Force area if required.
Due to the Equality Act (2010) the criteria surrounding sickness absence will not be checked until the conditional offer stage of the recruitment process, this is after the interview stage of the full recruitment process. With this in mind all candidates need to ensure that they have a good attendance record for the last 2 years for Staff and officers and for 12 months for apprentices.
