SAP Finance and Procurement Lead
Hybrid Working: Remote/Solihull office. Global travel expected
Full Time, Permanent
Up to £95,000 per annum (dependent on experience)


Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced SAP Finance and Procurement Lead to shape and support the delivery and improvement of the Finance solutions within Serco. This role will be involved in supporting the delivery of the business-as-usual service, the shaping of the roadmap and being a key stakeholder for programmes and projects.

ERP is an enabling technology service and Serco is heavily reliant for these services through a number of SAP platforms. The SAP platform underpins all Shared Service Finance, HR, Procurement and Payroll services on a global level, supporting over 50,000 users on an ongoing basis. As a result, the successful candidate will be expected to travel globally.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product Services.

As part of this you'll:

  • Contribute to documenting architecture
  • Sustain effective programme and project delivery. The role will help shape the release plan and calendar, portfolio plan and the planning, governance and delivery of individual programmes and projects
  • Ensure a high level of BAU service. Contributing towards service planning and involvement in BAU issues would be by exception
  • Maintain effective delivery by strategic partners regarding functional solutions, incidents and service improvement overall
  • Actively develop high level and conceptual designs and assure the detailed designs produced by other roles and parties


What you'll need to do the role:

  • SAP functional ECC knowledge and experience is essential
  • Strong experience in working with non-SAP and SAP partner products to deliver solutions
  • Experience working with offshore/outsourced system integrator relationships for business-as-usual and project delivery
  • Finance process knowledge and awareness of industry best practice
  • Strong expectation management and communication skills
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement skills at a range of levels in an organisation
