Hybrid working (based in London 2-3 days a week)

We are currently recruiting for one of the world's largest enterprise software providers, who works with thousands of companies worldwide. Delivering mission-critical technology they help thousands of customers.

The main duties of the Test Manager are as follows:

  • Manage the complete test cycle of software development from requirements testing to user acceptance and release testing.
  • Plan testing at different stages within the development cycle, including formulation of testing objectives and quality criteria, development of testing strategy and recommending testing approach.
  • Ensure cohesive integration of test and development activities.
  • Advise and help recommend functional and non-functional testing standards and implement same within the software test cycle.
  • Design and develop test cases in consultation with wider team, typically customer representatives across multiple roles and business domains.
  • Ensure all design and test activities are in alignment with either the Delivery Team or Customer best practices and any relevant software requirements specifications (SRS) and/or software design descriptions (SDD).
  • Participate in peer review of software development cycle deliverables.
  • Monitor unit testing and preliminary integration testing by programmers and wider team.
  • Carry out regular integration testing and system testing of software in alignment with customer and/or delivery requirements.
  • Help organize and conduct user acceptance and release testing of the software.
  • Design, develop and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts using available tools.
  • Create and maintain effective test data or databases in consultation with wider team.
  • Prepare and submit reports on work progress on a regular basis.
  • Expectation regarding assisting with recommendations on acquisition of appropriate testing tools.
  • Maintaining a high level of support through participation on relevant support queries and assisting in the prioritisation, diagnosis, and resolution of those support issues.
  • Performs other duties as may be required from time to time.
