Cloud and Technical Evaluation Engineer (AWS/Azure Cloud Services Experience)

Responsibilities

The position support all cloud services for our client; develop, deliver, and maintain novel solutions in conjunction with the Projects Director; and conduct trials and evaluations work with the Special Projects team.

- Solution design, implementation, maintenance, and support of AWS/Azure cloud-based communications network architecture to facilitate various technical surveillance applications. 

- Support and advise the Projects Team with technical writing associated with ongoing projects and for new contract tendering from a cloud solution engineering/design perspective.

- Technical document creation and updates in support of any AWS/Azure cloud-based solutions that have been deployed or will be implemented in future.

- Evaluate technical surveillance systems to assess their stated technical abilities, and gauge their operational performance in various environments and scenarios.

- Generate in-depth technical reports based on the findings of any assessments or evaluations.

- Training and mentoring to assist customers and ensure that the desired output is to provided.

- Regular progress discussions with the Special Projects Manager and Team, highlighting the findings from any technical assessments.

Requirements 

- Assist with compliance measures for the maintenance of ISO 9001 and focus efforts on the quality of customer experience.

- Have a full driving licence and passport. 

-Eligible for background checks and security clearance.

Person Specification 

Education

- Hold a Level 3 qualification (equivalent to A-level) in any subject 

-Desirable but not essential: higher-level qualification(s) in a technical field/discipline. 

Knowledge 

-Experience with cloud computing (in particular AWS and/or Azure) is essential.

-A strong aptitude and enthusiasm for learning or enhancing skills relating to technology and basic electronics.

-A firm understanding and experience of Internet Protocol networks.

Skills, Abilities and Attributes

- Articulate and well-rounded, with good communication and writing skills.

- Good attention to detail, especially in practical work and technical problem solving.

-Strong team ethic with the ability to work in a small, busy team and produce consistent results with minimal supervision.

Experience 

-A defence, government, or policing background would be advantageous, or experience in working with or consulting for these customers in a specialist capacity. 

-Working understanding and experience of Microsoft Office products.
