Job Title: Graduate Aviation Analyst

Location: Bath / Cheshire or one of their satellite offices. Remote/hybrid/flexible working options.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary range: £24,000 to £28,000 per annum – dependant on experience
 

Our client is seeking a Graduate Aviation Analyst to support the continued growth of its Air Traffic Management Business Unit.

Our client a dynamic business, providing expert services in Safety Engineering, Operational Safety, Cyber Security, Safety and Risk Management. Their teams deliver cost effective solutions for major customers such as the UK Ministry of Defence, NATS or Network Rail. They are involved in engineering projects and programmes in the Defence & Aerospace, Aviation, Air Traffic Management, Rail, Nuclear, Automotive, Oil & Gas and Cyber & Digital sectors.

Do you like working with interesting data, applying your analytical skills to understand new domains and contribute to shaping their evolution? This role will use mathematics, IT and/or data science experience along with excellent writing skills to conduct analysis, understand trends and showcase results in a creative and explicit way.

You will be cognisant of some of the operational and technical challenges associated with aviation and drone domains and have a desire to contribute to teams working towards industry improvements and reducing safety risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing technical tasks under the direction or supervision of senior team members.
  • Working effectively on a variety of tasks within a project and demonstrating analytical skills.
  • Providing accurate support to the Project Manager through straightforward tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Engaging with customers and domain stakeholders in the aviation and drone/Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) domains in a manner that consistently reflects Ebeni’s core values.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry related directives, regulations, standards and methods (aviation and drone/AAM domains), from an operational and technical perspective.
  • Writing coherent documents, including reports, articles, surveys, graphics, presentations to clearly impart the outcomes of a study project.
  What they are looking for in candidates

  • They want a graduate engineer with an awareness of aviation, airports, air traffic management systems and equipment including new domains such as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and drones. You must fulfil the following criteria:
  • University educated with a degree in Mathematics, Computer/Data Science, or in Aviation/Airport/Safety Management.
  • Understanding of the safety and security risk challenges relating to AAM and drone domains.
  • Undertaken an apprenticeship, work placement in this area would be of benefit.
  • Analytical skills including collations, interpretation, modelling, simulation, forecasting, algorithm development, optimisation. Ability to apply analytic skills to sectors and trends.
  • Strong writing skills (documents, including reports, articles, surveys, graphics), and the ability to communicate the outcomes of a study or project clearly and efficiently.
  • Operate as part of a team and as an individual with good communication and interpersonal skills, able to estimate and then effectively work to time and budget.
  • Some experience in widely used languages/tools e.g. Python, SQL would be desirable.
  • Ability to build effective and strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. To work effectively, professionally and proactively with people, in face-to-face meetings and through interaction by video calls, telephone and email.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to work in a methodical manner and deal with complex situations.
  • Able to communicate across all levels of the company. Articulate with an ability to negotiate, persuade and listen.
  • High level of drive and enthusiasm; flexible and positive attitude; adaptable and resilient.
  • A team player willing to support the next stage of development of our clients in a constructive, positive way.
It is essential that you

  • Are willing to travel to client sites, as and when required (driving licence required).
  • Hold, or able to obtain unrestricted Security Clearance.
  • Ensure business is consistently delivered in accordance with our clients core values of Excellence, Benefit and Integrity.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level
