SPA has an exciting opportunity to for an Aerosystems Engineer with Avionics specialism and project management experience to support the Ministry of Defence (MoD). Off-payroll rules (Inside IR35) apply for this opportunity.
Role:
- Providing In-Service support of Typhoon SHVAGE Assets
- Providing regular communication of timelines and deliverables to ILS-Hd
- Funding and business case generation for new capability, arising repair and support solutions that fall outside TyTAN
- Managing engagement from commercial and financial teams
- Managing UK response to NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA) for SHVAGE AGERDs
- Identifying future capability requirements / upgrades to existing assets
Essential Requirements:
- Engineering qualification
- Understanding of DE&S procedures and policy
- Project management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- In possession of an active United Kingdom SC security clearance
- Due to the nature of work involved, must be a sole United Kingdom national
Desirable Requirements:
- Avionics / Electrical / Aircraft Ground Equipment understanding
- Understanding of Typhoon team procedures (NETMA etc.)
- Experience with DE&S financial bid process and CP&F
- Airworthiness experience
