Role Summary

We have an exciting Senior Engineering Applications & Data Analyst role that will look to maintain and enhance existing tools and data utilised in the development and manufacture of Meggitt Products. The role is a senior escalation point and is expected to take ownership and co-ordinate activities in the resolution of end-user issues that impact the performance of the Engineering function.

The individual is expected to help research, lead and deliver new, improved, unified solutions and be a champion to promote best practice ways of working for the Engineering community and the extended enterprise via assigned CI projects. Seen as a subject matter expert, the individual will be expected to deliver presentations and training across all levels within the business and provide input to project reviews, solution architecture and capital expenditure requests

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide support, development, configuration and customisation across a number of Engineering applications used across the product lifecycle e.g. ERP, CAD & PDM, SAP (Smartean, CATIA, Solidworks, Windchill, Creo)
  • Develop key engineering business processes such as Product Configuration, Engineering Change Management and Data Management processes.
  • Work closely with internal and 3rd party IT support teams to resolve end-user application issues
  • Responsible for successful solution delivery of allocated tasks & projects
  • Support process mapping and discovery sessions for critical processes with key teams and subject matter experts
  • Creation and publication of new/revised Engineering Policies, Procedures and Work instructions to support a unified Engineering Business Management system
  • Utilise CI/Lean methodology to achieve optimisation and reduce waste

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Experience in support and or administration of Engineering/ Manufacturing applications: ERP, PDM, CAD, FEA
  • Ideally configuration management background
  • Strong communication skills - Both written & verbal
  • Critical/logical thinking and excellent problem solving skills
  • Proficient general IT skills demonstrating good general operating system and network understanding along with experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Possess good attention to detail and have the ability to prioritise, manage workload and delivery to a deadline
  • Good planning, organisational, interpersonal & decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commercial awareness
