Technical Service Authority

Copello are working with a Defence services company who are looking for a Technical Service Authority to work in the solutions team to take a lead in providing architectural oversight to an assigned part of the engineering system. The Technical Authority will need to be a SME within Networks and ensure that all systems are fit for purpose and meet technical requirements in terms of safety, integrity and performance. 

The Technical Authority will lead a small team and will have safety responsibilities. 

The role requires a depth of technical knowledge and experience.

As such the following experience would be desirable though not essential as experience in other engineering / infrastructure organisations would be sufficient:

• Experience working in a regulated environment, e.g., Air Traffic management (CAP 670 or Defence Standard 00-972)
• Design, Commissioning & Support of Air Traffic Management equipment meeting applicable standards, or other high integrity systems
• Knowledge of international standards for ATM equipment, e.g., EU Directives, EUROCAE Documents and Reports, ICAO Annex 10 Aeronautical Telecommunications, EUROCONTROL Specification for ATM Surveillance System Performance

Knowledge and experience working with Air Traffic Management systems/equipment would be an advantage such as Ricochet and VCS.. Extensive knowledge of Network connectivity, technologies and security is a must and you will ideally be a certified CompTIA or Cisco specialist.

This position will suit a Senior Systems Engineer or System Engineering Manager with extensive experience in Network systems. Candidates who have experience in Communications systems in regulated engineering environments such as Defence, Aerospace, Aviation, Telecommunications and Air Traffic Control will be considered.
