Scrum Master
Based in Solihull
Full Time, Permanent
Up to £55,000 per annum (
dependent on experience)

Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to own and deliver against agile development processes within ITS DevOps.

You will ensure facilitation, communication and collaboration between the business, product owner, DevOps team and supporting services to enable successful agile delivery on time to the quality specified. It is important that you lead, educate and mentor individuals in Agile process/delivery.

The Scrum Master will report into the Head of DevOps working within IT Services.

As part of this you'll:

  • Build a trusting environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment; with an emphasis of resolution and problem solving
  • Lead Scrum meetings and provide team support during sprint planning and execution
  • Ensure agile principles are clearly defined, understood and adhered to
  • Proactively help remove any obstacles that teams/individuals may encounter
  • Ensure a good relationship between the DevOps team, product owner, business analyst and the business
  • Enable/Facilitate creativity and efficiency within the DevOps team to continuously improve delivery and service


What you'll need to do the role:

  • Experience in a Scrum Master role for a minimum of 2 years within an IT environment
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices
  • Excellent coaching skills to direct the team in the use of best practices
  • Knowledge of Agile techniques and processes
  • Adept in communication and coaching
  • SC Clearance or ability to achieve SC clearance is required
