Project Management Officer

Our client in Bristol is looking for a Project Management Officer (PMO) to join their team for a 12-month contract.

 

This role will sit within the professional Project Management team Research and Technology. The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate to maximise and drive best practice Project Management governance, methods and tools across the workstreams.

 

You will ideally have a background in working with government contracts relating to funding for technology projects.


 

Responsibilities

· The compilation of internal project proposals, set-up of the project plan, execution and monitoring of the activities and deliverables.

· Responsible for the collaboration contracts’ performance management.

· Ensuring VSM projects are supported with a strong Project Management Expertise and that appropriate Project & Programme Management structure, governance and practices are applied.

· Working with the project leaders & project organisation on a day-to-day basis.

· Raising the understanding and acceptance of best practice project management within the teams by coaching and providing awareness sessions, challenging project leaders where needed.

· Shaping methods and tools in accordance with PM standards to the needs of the project / activity.

· Supporting efficient communication and stakeholder management, ensuring that activities are aligned with interfacing projects and operations.

· Able to understand and report on complex data.
