Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Monday to Friday (8:00AM - 4:00PM) plus on call shifts (1 in 3)

£23,709 - £25,982 per annum plus on call shift allowance

Here at Serco, Forth Valley Royal Hospital we are looking to recruit a highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual who will work well under pressure to carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance within a Hospital environment.

The applicant should be able to prioritise and work under own initiative with minimal supervision. They will have previous general experience in service, maintenance, and Plumbing tasks, have with a proven track record in a similar role. Experience of working in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential as training will be given. This role will involve a multi skilled approach as well as the full range of duties associated with post holder's primary trade which will be Plumbing. The post holder should have completed a recognized and registered apprenticeship, with a City and Guilds Lvl3 Plumbing certificate or equivalent.

The post holder will undertake improvement and capital work across the Hospital as directed by management, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards, procedures and Health and Safety at Work. The Plumber will actively participate in the operation of the CAFM labour control scheme by working within the scheme including completion of all work orders, record sheets and log books and undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Maintenance Officer.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in shift/on call roaster as required.

What you'll need to do the role

To be considered for this role you will need to have completed a recognised apprenticeship (e.g. City and Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical and/or Plumbing), and proven experience in a similar role within a large complex service organsiation. You will have an excellent understanding of customer care and experience of managing relationships with clients, and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of safe use of equipment. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to use own initiative in problem solving.
