OVERVIEW:

SPA have an immediate requirement for a Project Support Officer who can help the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MoD) coordinate and implement effective contractor support arrangements to deliver benefits of the Cyber Resilience Programme (CRP).  This role will work to drive contractor arrangements forward whilst ensuring deliverables and outcomes are achieved.  It is centred around resource management and control and will be relied upon to understand the complex environment of the CRP and grasp the prioritisation of resources to align with the priorities of the programme.  It will be engaging and work to challenging timescales to ensure that emergent and future priorities are adequately resourced.

You will need a strong ability to work collaboratively, and it is essential that you possess effective stakeholder skills and have problem solving ability. Positive and effective communication skills are critical - especially as you will be required to engage with Senior Ministry of Defence Staff.

This role is homeworking but travel to Corsham could be required 1 day a week basis.  Off payroll rules apply (Inside IR35).

ROLE:

  • Resource led reviews with CRP personnel and contractors to assess performance and ensure delivery of Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel.
  • Commitment Case Drafting and staffing through the approvals process
  • Tracking of deliverables to ensure a clear auditable trail is available
  • Partnering with Theme Leads (Department Heads) /Project Managers to understand resource requirements for now and next future delivery plans
  • Leading on stakeholder identification and engagement to ensure regular, meaningful engagement with stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Experience of Commitment Case Drafting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills Workshop facilitation skills, with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Able to work on several concurrent subjects to tight timescales and have a pragmatic approach to the resolution of several complex challenges
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team to develop and deliver consistently
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail.
  • Communications planning and implementation (briefing)
  • Experience of working in a programme delivery environment
  • Due to the nature of the role, must be sole United Kingdom (UK) national only.
  • Must be in possession of an active UK national secret or above security clearance
