Senior Appian Developer

Working from home with occasional travel to Bristol

£60-70K plus extensive benefits package

Due to the secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to at least SC level. You must have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years and cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within this time.

To be successful in this role:

You will be an experienced and senior Appian Developer with excellent knowledge of Appian solutions and models. You will also have extensive knowledge of working with distributed infrastructure systems and client-server architectures. Other desirable requirements for this role include experience with:

• JAVA / Springboot
• Relational databases and SQL scripting
• API integration
• Agile framework
• JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker
• Pipeline support using technologies such as AWS, Jenkins, OpenShift, Linux, GitHub, etc
• Must be comfortable in a working from home environment

Our client will consider applications from across the UK and whilst there may be occasional need to go to their Bristol office, much of the time you can be working from home.

Job role and responsibilities:

As a Senior Appian Developer, you will design, develop, modify, integrate, test, deploy and support enterprise-level Appian BPM workflow applications.

• Design and implement complex enterprise integrations with industry standard technologies including LDAP, Active Directory and other internal systems in the enterprise
• Design and develop database objects to support BPM applications and maintain database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems
• Deliver projects in either Agile or Waterfall software development methodologies, as the project dictates
• Work as part of a larger Appian BPM development team helping to conduct and participate in detailed design reviews and validate that the design follows the approved architecture
• Translate BPM requirement specifications into Appian process model prototypes and solutions
