The Specialist Operations Branch are seeking applications for a part time Intelligence Support Officer in FIB. This will effectively be a part-time role, Monday - Friday.
The successful candidate will be required to (but not limited to) provide information and data management and broad administrative support as part of an intelligence unit.
The aim of the role is to assist individual investigations or staff with specific enquiries by collating, researching, assessing, evaluating and disseminating information and intelligence retrieved from all available sources. As well as providing a central liaison point within GMP for the co-ordination of intelligence enquiries internally and for other forces and agencies.
The successful candidate will ensure the effective management of intelligence and information held on police systems and databases - managing any interim measures / additional requirements that result from the force changing from existing standalone systems, towards an integrated operating system.
This is a designated post under the Force Vetting Strategy and the post will therefore attract an enhanced level of vetting.
Please note for applications which carry enhanced vetting you should have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
Please refer to the attached Job Description for further details regarding the skills required to do this role. The Job Description has been signposted to indicate at which stage of the process each criteria will be tested.
