Job Title: IT Test Manager - SAP
Location: Coventry

About the role

As the Test Manager you will cover a broad spectrum of capabilities in a predominantly SAP application arena. You will work closely with the business to shape and drive a testing strategy and delivery plan to ensure product and quality control is up to standard.
In conjunction with the team you will undertake the capturing, analysing and documenting of testing requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that these requirements are delivered to the required level of quality through IT change projects and activities.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert on all testing aspects and develop the overall test strategy and approach to ensure the testing group validate quality, reliability and completeness of changes deployed into the application landscape.
• Define, implement and manage new testing capabilities (i.e. automated testing).
• Ensure the update of test processes, policies and procedures and the development of 3rd party strategic relationships which support the delivery of testing across the overall programme of work.
• Ongoing development of test methods, techniques, evaluation criteria and estimates for releases, projects and /or programmes.
• Leading/managing the testing process in relation to a SAP implementation plus a wide spectrum of non-SAP application and infrastructure projects.

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable experience in Integration Testing.
• Experience with assessing and on boarding new test management tools.
• Demonstrable experience and success delivering testing of multiple projects & programmes in a complex environment to quality, scope, time and budget.
• Good understanding of completing system integration testing in Multi System architecture.
• Understanding of different project management and software delivery methodologies, and an understanding of how testing relates to these.
• Knowledge of best practice for achieving efficient and effective Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Understand what is required to introduce effective automated regression testing.
• Working knowledge of appropriate legislation, including the Data Protection Act, DFARS and ITARS.
• ISTQB Test Manager or ISEB Certification.
• Lean Six Sigma desired.
