Role Summary:

We are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager within our Thermal Systems division, based at our state-of-the-art facility in Ansty Park. This role will take responsibility for programmes from cradle-to-grave but initially will be on programmes that are currently in production phase. The focus for this role is to analyse the programme business case, identify key opportunities for improvement and influence senior leadership. The programme manager will be the visionary who can provide leadership to drive the direction of the programme to see those opportunities through to fruition. The programme manager will be the focal point for our customers to ensure that efficient communication is maintained and escalations are controlled.

Job Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple programmes through full product lifecycle
  • Develop and implement long-term goals, objectives and budgets to achieve the successful delivery of programmes
  • Ensure that programme activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and Meggitt PLM
  • Define and establish the programme Core Teams and ensure that necessary resources are provided by the different disciplines in the matrix organization
  • Act as first point of contact to customers for any programme-related queries
  • Identify, evaluate and mitigate the risks and opportunities associated with programme activities
  • Chair programme board meetings and gate reviews with the relevant teams
  • Ensure visibility of progress, issues and forecast outcomes to senior leadership, using PLM documents and tools as per process
  • Liaise with the other managers to ensure effective and efficient programme delivery


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ideally degree qualified in engineering-related field
  • Full Product Lifecycle Management experience in Programme Management role previously
  • Background in aerospace/ automotive industry
  • Excellent relationship building and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach
  • Able to quickly assemble and lead matrix teams
  • Comfortable being the first point of contact for our customers
