Integration Solution Architect

We currently have a vacancy for an Integration Solution Architect who will contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation activities associated with integrating a range of internal and external business systems on a flagship programme, delivering large scale Cloud Transformation in the UK using agile methodologies. The successful candidate will lead the effective delivery of high profile integration activities

The successful candidate should have experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams using agile processes. Reporting to the Workstream Lead and Lead Integration Solution Architect with accountability to key stakeholders and the MPS Customer counterpart.

Responsibilities:

• Integration requirements analysis, data mapping and solution design;

• Creation and maintenance of required design artefacts, in line with Met processes and standards

• Supporting Metropolitan Police software development teams in the development, testing and delivery of new Command and Control (C&C) integrations, and in applying enhancements and fixes to existing integrations

• Supporting the business design team in understanding and resolving business process and technical issues associated with system integrations

• Technical review of all functional, technical and test specification documents produced for the integrations in scope, including those produced by the Met and by 3rd party suppliers

• Liaising with internal stakeholders, partner organisations and suppliers to resolve integration business process, data mapping, testing and scheduling issues

• Acting as the Met technical authority during end-to-end integration, performance and acceptance testing activities

• Shepherding integration designs through relevant internal Design Review and Quality Gate processes

• Standing in for the Lead Integration Solution Architect as required;

Requirements:

• Knowledge of enterprise, system, integration, data and network architecture frameworks, standards and best practices;

• Knowledge of system integration technologies, techniques and data exchange formats, including Service Buses, REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON;

• Experienced in developing, maintaining and communicating solution designs that meet agreed business requirements;

• Supporting the development, testing and delivery of solution designs;

• Experienced in working with agile development practices;

• Stakeholder management, including internal stakeholders, partners, and 3rd party suppliers;

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills;

• Experience facilitating requirements workshops with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;

• Knowledge of Red Hat Fuse, including Apache Camel, Apache Karaf, Active MQ and JMS;

• Knowledge of Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions
