Freedom of Information Officer

Work as part of a small team, collating and producing Freedom of Information request (Freedom of Information Act 2000) responses and/or Subject Access Requests (Data Protection Act 2018), keeping logs and working with departments to ensure that information is provided on time to requestors. To assist the Information Governance Manager to improve Trust compliance (DSP Toolkit requirements) Be a key member of the Information Governance Team supporting around 8000 staff in meeting legal and regulatory requirements around confidentiality, statutory information access and information security. To assist in the development of action plans to improve Trust scoring and as a result impact positively upon CQC, NHSLA and other Healthcare ratings. Close working relationships expected with the Information Department, Service Managers and General Managers as well as any contacts involved in the supply of information for completing requests. Close working relationships with the Medical Records Department to co-ordinate the requests for access to medical records by members of the public.
