Role Summary

Our Commercial Manager role is responsible for overseeing the contract and agreement processes for industrial and government programmes for our Fareham division. This will include the preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts and will provide full life cycle commercial support to the site. Although this role is based out of Fareham, hybrid working is possible with an on-site requirement once or twice per week.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Assesses contractual and commercial risk and provides appropriate advice to site leadership, site functional departments and Commercial Management team.
  • Provide price negotiation support as required.
  • Responsible for generating, drafting, reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions for site specific business matters; compliance matrices; and making recommendations in accordance with Meggitt policies.
  • Provides commercial input related to work transfer & sourcing activities involving to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal and external regulations and policies.
  • Evaluate compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies and applicable business practices and procedures.
  • Ensure that all sales contracts & commercial matters are efficiently documented, prioritized and tracked in the contracts repository and management system


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Background in Commercial Management
  • Expert knowledge of commercial and contractual principles and best practices
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
  • Able to plan and direct technical efforts to meet team objectives
