In this role you will provide Enquiry Counter services to the public and support to the Neighbourhood teams including clerical and administrative support.
This is an extremely varied role that deals with a wide range of problems and people. In an average day, you could be faced with many different enquiries including taking reports of crime, road traffic accidents and missing persons. You will be a first point of contact when receiving, releasing and managing lost and found property, checking driving documents and dealing with a range of telephone calls.
You will be responsible for maintaining secure control of entry to and exit from the building.
Having worked with the public in an advisory environment, you should have experience of dealing with difficult customers and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Having good communication and listening skills is essential to this role, together with administration/clerical experience. You should be competent in using computer systems including Microsoft packages and the internet.
You should have attended or be willing to attend once in post, training relating to Aggressive situations and Customer Care.
You should be prepared to work shifts and to provide cover at other Neighbourhood Enquiry Counter Offices as may occasionally be required in conjunction with the mobility management guidelines.
