Forensic Services provides dedicated scientific and technical forensic support to the investigation and reduction of crime across Greater Manchester. Forensic Services supports investigations and operations across the force dealing with the recording, recovery and examination of evidence from the crime/incident scene through to the court process.
The Forensic Services Evaluator is based within the Procedural Standards Unit and will monitor, analyse and report on the effectiveness of forensic examinations throughout the investigative process in order to understand the true value and contribution of forensic evidence both internally and by our external suppliers.
The successful candidate will have good computer skills. The role will require you to interrogate systems, extract, analyse and prepare information, data and reports relating to Forensic Services demand and effectiveness. We are looking for previous experience of maintaining spreadsheets and databases. Strong administration skills are also essential to the role.
You will be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with other areas of the organisation, whilst assisting with management information requests. Your role will require the preparation of reports or presentation of statistics and providing support to meetings.
