An Interim Management Accountant is required as Transition Support for the Strategic Efficiency & Resources Review (SE&RR). This role is for approx. 6 months and is currently hybrid working.
This role is to bolster Business as Usual analytical capacity and capability so that the Strategic Efficiency & Resources Review is more easily tracked and delivered. Potential areas the post holder can support include interrogation of workforce data, rolling BMS, forecasts and contract compliance reports (CCR); support the triage of CCRs against Strategic Impact Assessment thresholds; assist in the tracking of SE&RR non-pay changes across various budgets and analyse SE&RR non-pay tracking and provide insight in support of overall progress narrative.
This role is for a leading London Police organisation. Candidates with current CTC/SC clearances will go through their vetting processes (currently this is taking up to 6 months). Key Accountabilities:
- Produce 2022/23 Network Ready Reckoner for Pay and Non Pay for Tracking, budgeting, costing & input into the Automated Reporting Tool.
- Support Capability Leads to deliver savings to evidence savings realised as a result of change of staffing mix from contractors to permanent staff, particularly in respect of delivering capital projects.
- Scrutiny of 2022/23 Budgets and Expenditure, including liaising with Regions to understand additional costs and savings arising from transfer to inform budgets provided to Regions/Forces for 2023/24.
- Develop Capability Lead Finance Information Reports using the information, which can be built into finance reporting processes
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountants – CIMA/CCAB or Equivalent – with Management Accountant background
- Management Accountant, experienced in financial/cost modelling; budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience of research, information analysis, and/or business performance in a large organisation or complex environment
- Computer literacy (Excel to a high level, PowerPoint, Word) and presentational skills
- Advanced excel skills
