Lead Planner (Inside IR35)
Contract Term: Until March 31st, 2023

Location: Hybrid ( 1-2 days a week in Abbeywood, Bristol)

SC clearance is required for this role therefore the successful candidate must be willing to undergo security clearance.

As a Lead Planner, your main responsibilities would be: 
•    Work with stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are defined. Help provide clarity on key milestones to define what, when and how activities will be organised to ensure the outcomes can be achieved.
•    Lead on all aspects of project planning, including the development, updating and monitoring of plans and schedules.
•    Identify tasks, activities, inter-dependencies and outputs. Work with the project team to track and monitor progress against the plan throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Develop clear vision and standards and champion the use of best practice project planning standards, tools and processes.
•    Apply advanced knowledge in the discipline of planning for the analysis and successful resolution of risks and issues and identification of opportunities.
•    Provide guidance and specialist advice to the Project Manager on selection of planning approach, tools, processes and proportionality. 
•    Identify and lead the introduction of industry standard best practice.
•    Run Power BI Reports for Programme Reviews and 1* IntSys Business Review (monthly).
•    Lead with DD PMO to ensure new staff receive Planning Induction Training.
•    Ensure PMs maintain schedules to accurately reflect AGILE delivery & comply with ePMO standards.
•    Carry out Schedule Healthchecks with PMs. Create/implement engagement & improvement plan. (combine with RAIDO?) and implement Baselining Check.
•    Support PMs to draft new schedules as new work is accepted into team.
•    Run PAC (Planning Assurance Check) – Designed for the initial planning period for new projects - first 10-12 weeks; planning maturity & docs.
•    Provide guidance to ensure PM compliance with Project Initiation and Project Closure Activities.
•    Act as Planning SME for Project level Planning reviews.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

•    SC clearance is required for this role therefore the successful candidate must be willing to undergo security clearance.
•    Agile Project Management Practitioner
•    APM Project Management Qualification
•    SAFe Agile
•    Experience of providing clarity on key milestones to define what, when and how activities will be organised to ensure the outcomes of a project can be achieved, with the resources available.
•    Experience of leading on all aspects of project planning, which will include the development, updating and monitoring of plans and schedules. They identify tasks, activities, inter-dependencies and outputs for the project and work with the project team to track and monitor progress against the plan throughout the life of the project.
