As a Programme Delivery Consultant within ‘Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology’ (ADS&T), you will be part of our Programme Delivery Practice. Your role will be to help our clients maximise the benefit of digital transformation and enable innovate ways of working. Working directly with clients, you’ll be supported to identify, shape and manage better delivery capabilities. You’ll have all the support you need to work as part of Agile delivery teams across our markets.

Location: Manchester.

Salary: £34k-£50k.

End Date: 10th Oct 2022.

Your purpose:

You will be operating as part of a team delivering innovative projects within a number of transformation programmes & projects, assisting and managing the delivery of products and services with client organisations. You will be frequently working with a hybrid (waterfall/agile) environment.

Although you will be based out of our fast-growing Manchester office, the COVID-19 pandemic has led us all to work in different ways. We’re seizing the opportunity to evolve our traditional working practices by adopting hybrid working, prioritising our clients’ needs but splitting stime between client, Atkins’ home office, and home.

What you can bring?

We have roles suitable for candidates who have a background in a Programme & Project Management environment and are seeking a nurturing and encouraging environment to support their development, or for individuals who have demonstrable transferable skills.

We would expect applicants to possess the following skills:

Business experience in a busy environment.
A passion for implementing change, driving forward best practice and supporting those around us.
Enthusiasm to work cooperatively and supportively with others.
Ability to communicate with confidence at higher and lower levels.
An eye for being customer focussed, with the ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction to our internal and external companies.
Energy, pride and determination in meeting targets and overcoming challenges.
The drive to continually develop new skills and undertake personal training.
Ability to identify and analyse problems, and compile recommendations to clients & stakeholders.
The role would be ideal for those at the early stage of their career who are technically and/or academically qualified and are keen to pursue a career in Programme Delivery, or for those who are looking to transfer their previous experience into a consultancy environment.

The majority of roles available are working at the heart of a major Government client in the Security market, but there may be the opportunity to expand into other sectors over time. Projects will be UK-wide and therefore travel may be expected for some assignments.
