Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team who will work directly to CC Lucy D'Orsi in her role as National Gold for the Bridges policing operation, funded through the NPCC. Initially for 12 months, there is potential for this role to be extended on a rolling 12-month basis.

The team will be made up of one Chief Inspector as the head of the team, reporting directly to CC D'Orsi, one Police Inspector and 1 secretariat support. The police officer roles are open to officers' substantive in the rank or on temporary promotion. The roles can accommodate blended working, with a mix of home working, attendance at BTP FHQ in Camden, and other meetings nationally from time to time. The expectation would be that on activation candidates would be able to demonstrate great flexibility and deploy quickly.

Key duties and responsibilities include;

  • Liaison with NPoCC and NPCC to provide coordination across forces
  • Developing a central risk register
  • Developing and reviewing CT threat planning assumptions
  • Providing consistency of approach to CT planning pan UK
  • Providing a meeting and development forum for Op London Bridge security professionals
  • Providing security briefings and updates at key intervals
  • Reviewing approach in light of a change in assessed threat on receipt of intelligence or post incident
  • Contributing to the annual Gold UK briefing day
  • Establishing a UK wide CT Security partner network
  • Briefing internal and external partners on security planning
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with policing security professionals
  • Communicating with Key OLB police forces on a regular basis
  • Establishing relationships with HMG security partners
  • Ensuring business continuity and contingency planning
Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be considered for this role, applicants must meet the below initial eligibility requirements:

  • Candidates must be currently serving in any UK police force
  • Candidates must not currently be subject to an unsatisfactory performance review or action plan
  • Candidates must have no current findings of guilt for complaints or discipline
  • All mandatory training must be up to date
  • Roles will be subject to vetting, which must be passed to take up the roles.
