Job Designation

This position has a responsibility for product quality from the supply chain through to the delivered parts at the customer base. The role will support the programme of product conformance is executed and improvements reported and realised
The Quality engineer Executes the quality strategy that is developed by the Quality leadership team within the value stream assigned.

Core Responsibilities

FMEA
Leading FMEA activities within the assigned value stream
Driving the use of FMEA during the RCCA events to reduce risk of process variation

Auditing
Qualified to lead audits to the AS9100 standard.
Plan, Execute all audits assigned, internal or supplier based
Proactively assess supplier performance - Auditing is a tool that is an option
support the areas / departments in the closure of all NCR's raised to the timescales required by the site BMS

Quality Clinics
Drive robust quality clinics within the assigned value stream
Support Quality Clinics and assist in Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.
Drive the QC maturity assessment
Ownership of actions

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes

Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications :
Years Experience :
3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Skills :

  • Knowledge of complex Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineering
  • Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and make recommendations for improvements to products, processes or services
  • Ability to explain a range of complex technical information
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
