Role Summary
To operate as a multi-skilled, adaptable worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Fitting and Trimming composite components and composite moulds for projects in the Aerospace industry requires strong attention to detail, cost and quality.
- Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal and external specifications and build instructions as appropriate ensuring accuracy and process documentation.
- Bonding and trimming assemblies by defined standards.
- Fettling moulds and patterns by defined standards.
- Cutting and bonding of pattern materials by defined standards.
- Working with manufacturing engineering to support the development of standard work instructions and taking part in design for manufacture workshops for new product introduction.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to research and analyze data effectively
- Good/Strong/Excellence verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines
- Setting structures in trim and assembly jigs
- Fettling using appropriate tools and equipment
- Mixing and use of adhesives and sealants
- Treatment touch-up in localised areas on composite
- Ability to read drawing
- Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
- Team building Skills
- Decision-making skills
