The Executive Personal Assistant role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy's new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

The role

The difference our new Executive Personal Assistant will make

As a Executive Personal Assistant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working closely with our Executive Directors and their direct reports, you anticipate their needs to ensure that Babcock International's priorities are met.

Day to day, you'll pro-actively manage the Executive Team's diaries, co-ordinating schedules and calendars, balancing stakeholders' priorities - including providing travel itineraries for when directors are travelling. You will be communicating with Senior Stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, both internally and externally, tailoring your communication style to suit the situation. You will have the opportunity to manage small projects and provide information to suit. hold additional responsibilities such as co-ordinating and arranging travel itineraries.

Essential experience

• Have previous experience as a personal assistant.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, with conflicting responsibilities.
• Maths and English GSCSE Grade C or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent discipline.
