Scrum Master, Perm, £60-70k + bonus + bens
Our leading SI client are ugently looking for a Scrum Master to join their existing Project and Programme Management Team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, scope and delivery plans of projects and products
- Coordinate sprints, and facilitate scrum events
- Coach team members in the scrum framework and agile ways of working
- Collaborate with the technical product owner and team to translate requirements into a realistic delivery plan
- Facilitate communication and effective collaboration within the business (e.g. updating stakeholders as plans change, managing delays and blockers, escalation of issues as required, working with partner teams to establish working agreements)
- Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
- Work with technical product owners/workstream leads to manage backlogs, new features, and triage support requests
- Support the team in identifying internal and external dependencies early and put in place plans to manage these dependencies
- Support the team in their learning: balancing delivery with developing their knowledge, learning new technologies
- Resolve conflicts and work with the teams to remove any impediments that may arise
- Help teams implement changes effectively
- Hold the team accountable to their commitments and agreed ways of working
- Guide teams to higher agile maturity
- Introduce metrics to help the team understand their performance and identify areas for improvement
- Help build a safe, collaborative and productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product, and enjoy working on it
Requirements and skills
- Experience in a scrum master or agile team coach role
- Excellent understanding of current software development practices
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum framework, and experience of using Scrum with data teams
- Excellent knowledge of kanban
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, data governance, and data visualisation
- Experience in Microsoft Azure data pipeline development and business intelligence reporting
- Excellent understanding of what it takes to embed agile and Scrum/Kanban along with knowledge of frameworks to scale Scrum
- Experience of using agile tools and techniques (for example user story mapping, example mapping, swarming, Cynefin) to help teams deliver value
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
- Excellent facilitation skills and experience
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Scrum master certification
