The Role of a Change & Communications Officer

As a Change and Communications Officer, you will support the NIAM Team within the Home Office, taking a lead in all communication and administrative duties. The post holder will support the overall communications strategy of the Programme. This includes managing a busy inbox, creating resources such as newsletters, managing FAQs and Q&As. They will support stakeholder managers and work with colleagues to maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation, and leading or aiding with communication strategy in all elements and workstreams. This will also include creating and presenting resources at meetings.

 

You will be responsible for providing expert and flexible Communication support in delivering within the Home Office Transformation Portfolio, specifically the NIAM Department. It is large, complex, challenging and encompasses over 20 major and/or mission critical projects and programmes plus four business portfolios of change. There is a strong focus on Stakeholder engagement, and you could find yourself working on a project for the UK’s critical national infrastructure through to a complex technology enabled business change programme.

Key Skills and Experience:

    Change and Communications experience Experience managing comms in fast paced environment Experience drafting resources Administrative duties (managing mailbox, setting up meetings, trackers etc) Organised, proactive and uses initiative Communication skills Presentation skills Confident and outgoing individual who asks questions and has a passion to develop themselves Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint and Excel) Visio and SharePoint experience is desirable Government or Media background desirable
