This role is within the Digital Service Analytics (DSA) team, they are currently starting a programme of work to transition products from Oracle onto their strategic platform. DSA are currently building out a full team of BAs to support with this project

The Role of a Business Analyst

 

Your role as a Business Analyst is to understand and analyse both user and business needs. You will ensure the outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models, delivering to the business architecture.

 

You will challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose. You will facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.

 

Responsibilities;

 

  • Identifying stakeholders for each Product and their involvement to produce a RACI.
  • Writing user stories and validating them against the proposed approach for each capability
  • Support the developers in parallel testing by undertaking QA checks for Products once they have been developed
  • Mapping the “as is” an “to be” processes

 

Essential Criteria;

    Previous experience as a Business Analyst An understanding of how your role fits in the business Understanding business processes and impact on operations Requirements gathering and process mapping Understanding of “as is” & “to be” processes Strong communication and stakeholder management Experience with user stories
 

 

Desirable Criteria;

    Experience in a government environment Experience working with a tech team Understanding of Project Management
