Digital Content Officer - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 Months
Contracting Authority: MOD DIO - Defence Infrastructure Organisation
Location: Hybrid/Lichfield – WFH 1-2 Days a week
DIO has an exciting opportunity for an experienced digital content producer to join our busy corporate communications team. Reporting to the Campaigns Lead, the Creative & Digital Content Producer will work collaboratively taking an active lead in the development of high-quality digital and graphic design content that maximises engagement across DIO and wider MOD platforms. As well as being responsible for the development of creative and innovative content, the post holder will also be responsible for maintaining a strong brand identity and advising on the correct application of DIO and MOD branding.  
This is a rewarding post with the opportunity to shape and actively influence creative content that can be seen by thousands of people across both internal and external Defence channels. You will have the opportunity to create social media content for Defence-related campaigns, events and news stories.
As a Digital Content Officer your main responsibilities would be: 
•    Providing a high-quality graphic design capability as well as motion design content for DIO's internal and external channels, including social media.
•    Producing graphic design products such as infographics, illustrations, and animated graphics for social media, in support of DIO campaigns and priorities.
•    Acting as an expert advisor to senior managers and colleagues across the business on the best use of graphic design and digital content. Advising and working with colleagues to develop scripts and storyboards, collecting imagery, and editing video and audio material.
•    Overseeing digital production projects, from planning to delivery, coordinating input from colleagues and managing stakeholders.
•    Acting as a brand ambassador for Defence, being a point of contact on branding related queries and championing the correct use of the DIO and MOD brands.
•    Responding to short notice high priority tasks that require the production of creative assets.
•    Attending events to capture still imagery as well as video content
•    Assisting in the upskilling of team members by providing informal training and mentoring in basic video and image capture and editing. 
•    Keeping up to date with the latest digital trends and identifying opportunities to use them.
•    Building relationships across Defence and the GCS to learn and share best practice.
•    Evaluating the performance of digital content and tailoring content to audience interests and preferences.
•    Identifying opportunities to use creative content to better tell DIO's story and the role it plays in Defence.
Essential Experience & Skills:

•    SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
•    Experience with using Mac/Apple and Windows hardware/software.
•    Experience in creating content using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: After Effects, Audition, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. 
•    Can work across internal and external channels including social media. 
•    Have a core focus in video and animation content design. 
•    Ability to with collaboratively within a team. 
•    At least a Level 5 qualification in a design related subject.

Desirable Experience & Skills
•    Active SC Clearance.
•    Experience of using professional camera equipment, lighting, and microphones. 
•    Expertise in the creation of material optimized for digital (on-line and social) and traditional media outlets.
