Last year our UK & Europe Sales department had a record-breaking year- but it's the invaluable public services we delivered as a result that was the real win. These contracts deliver vital services to citizens in the UK & Europe that build on our public service ethos and DNA. With ambition aplenty and with further investment planned in our teams and their resources, you can help us develop, win, and transform public services.

As Bid Director, you'll report into the Head of Bid Management, you'll assume responsibility for successful delivery & new business growth of the bidding portfolio for Health, managing the delivery of those bids from opportunity post Gate 2. Leading, motivating and supporting a team of Principal Bid Leads, Bid Managers, Bid Writers & Bid Coordinators you'll ensure our bidding is high impact & consistent.

Working with both the customer and business unit leads, you'll understand requirements, and having worked with colleagues across the team, you'll bid and close new business wins from new and existing contract and client relationships.

Using your positive and customer focused approach you'll ensure these opportunities are aligned with our business strategy and that we maximise the chances of success and of high-quality outcomes for our customers.

And as well as the satisfaction of working on (and of course winning) some of the biggest deals on the market, you'll also benefit from an environment that firmly sets the stage for your own career development and progression, whether you want to specialise, progress upwards, or broaden your career.

What you need to do the role
With your extensive experience of working in Bid Management within Health, you'll be ready and able to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary bid team. You'll have proven experience in structuring, leading and winning Bids of significant complexity and scale, with specific focus on bidding and winning work with Public Sector bodies. Your understanding of bidding methodologies means you'll have an appreciation of the commercial and financial aspects needed to balance the risk/reward/price on a successful bid.

With a customer focused, proactive approach, you'll be able to position and present customer focused solutions that deliver results. You'll also possess the leadership and communication skills to work with and influence the wider bid teams and contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.

Lastly, if you have experience of structured sales methodologies - such as Shipley or Miller Heiman - then great. If not, then we'll soon get you up to speed.
