Service Transition Manager, Security Cleared - Inside IR35

We are looking for individuals with a background in Service Management, and experience of successful Service Design and Transition, (SDTM). Ideally you will have current Security Clearance, SC or be eligible for SC.

Day to day you will take the lead in ensuring that all aspects of service transition projects are driven through to delivery; Design, implement and maintain robust transition plans taking into consideration any business activities required to integrate new services into the 'business as usual' environment; Engage with all suppliers as required to complete production and approval of all service transition documentation; Determine the readiness levels of the department and exiting incoming suppliers and business users with regard to upcoming changes; Uncover readiness gaps and own action plans to close the gaps prior to go-live; Assess risks inherent in proposed transitions, to ensure any potential scheduling and performance issues have minimum impact on provision of other services; Ensure all relevant department functions are fully engaged in the process and committed to supply resources to complete the transition plan; First point of escalation for any issues or problems raised by the suppliers or business; Arbitrate in situations of conflict; Seek out and tackle issues that will prevent the delivery of business benefits linked to service transition.

SDTMs will design and document new services. They will ensure that service design principles and standards are embedded into projects, and that comprehensive support arrangements are put in place.

SDTMs will produce comprehensive service designs, incorporating business requirements, wider standards, Enterprise Services capabilities, and external suppliers.

SDTMs will ensure that projects transition to live service in a safe and structured manner, engaging with project teams and Enterprise Services teams.

SDTMs will be part of the Home Offices Service Architecture practice and will contribute to the definition of standards and continual service improvement.

You will design and transition services that:

• Support business needs. Reuse existing service components. Are proportionate and affordable. Effectively span multiple suppliers, platforms and support arrangements.

Ideally you will have

• ITIL V3 Expert Qualification. Public sector exposure. Experience of Agile development methodology. Experience managing people. Existing SC Clearance or willing to undertake. Experience of successful Service Design and Transition. Experience in ITIL aligned Service Management. Setting expectations and managing stakeholders, both internal and external. Experience in onboarding third party suppliers. Experience of Service Design and Transition in Medium to Large Organisations. The successful candidate will have an ITIL V3 Foundation qualification and at least 2 of the Intermediate ITIL Modules, ideally Service Design and Service Transition.
