Control and Instrumentation Engineer

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join their team. The role is based between Bristol and Barrow-in-Furness with some remote working. The role requires SC clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 30/11/2022 and offer a rate up to £525/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Main Responsibilities

• Review draft documentation from a key supplier and partner, ensuring that the documentation is mature and will support the overall aim of design.
• Act as the “critical friend”, scrutinising and providing feedback on documentation received.
• Work in the creation, review and establishment regarding the requirements, safety and design principles as laid down in the Control and Instrumentation area.
• Utilising the PI Summary Proformas received by the group each period, ensure that departments are held accountable for their deliverables, and where information is required, ensure that this is provided in a timely manner.
• Support sprint work, acting as the stakeholder in relevant meetings and workshops.
• Provide AdHoc support where required to ensure priorities are met in period.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
