About the role

As the Commercial Manager, you will oversee the contract and agreement processes by preparing contractual agreements, providing commercial related advice, drafting and reviewing contractual documentation and negotiates agreements in accordance with corporate policy. You will also ensure efficient performance throughout the product life cycle and the life of the contract, including modifications and interpretations to completion.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assesses contractual and commercial risk and provides appropriate advice to Commercial Management team
  • Oversees the bid teams responses to RFI's or RFP's, including obtaining necessary internal approvals
  • Manages the Commercial team's contract amendment negotiations
  • Ensures that dissemination of agreements and contract closedown/exit activities are completed within expected timelines
  • Provides support, training and mentorship to the Commercial Management team
  • Monitors and analyses the administration of contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and company policies


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
  • Aerospace industry knowledge is preferred but not essential
  • Proficient with conducting contractual agreements
  • Strong and proven negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
  • Able to plan and direct technical efforts to meet team objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion; effective oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to details
