The External Relations and Performance Branch provide a range of functions supporting GMP's strategy, performance and accountability.
The work of the Branch involves considerable work with Chief Officers, Divisions and Branches across the Force and with external bodies.
In this role you will gather, analyse, evaluate and present data and information from a variety of sources and in a variety of formats making recommendations and drawing conclusions as part of a longer term project or programme.
You will design and undertake a variety of research, review and evaluation projects, providing advice and guidance to divisions and departments undertaking their own projects and data analysis.
The successful candidate should have experience of using spread sheets, database systems to capture, analyse and present information, together with having the ability to draft reports, summarise information and present research findings.
Along with being competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and the internet, you should be able to research a variety of subjects using a variety of approaches, working as part of a team and using your individual initiative.
You should be able to keep updated with changes in policy and procedure, together with managing your own workload and meeting deadlines.
The position is within the Governance Team, and that the ideal candidate would have experience of:
- Minute taking
- Diary Management
- Report Writing
- Data collection and analysis
- Coordinating information from multiple sources
- Tracking and managing information
- Strong communication and organisation skills.
