Role Summary
The Trainee Accountant performs a wide range of accounting tasks supporting the Finance function. Coordinates activities, verifies transactions and prepares records while ensuring accounting records' integrity for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Group's own internal control procedures.

Job Core Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities and performs a variety of regular activities, including classifying, examining, recording and analysing accounting transactions
- Ensures all transactions and accounting records are included in the appropriate accounting period
- Examines, analyses and interprets accounting records to prepare financial reports and statements
- Preparation of monthly accounts, forecasts and budget packs
- Completes assigned projects and analyses for a specific accounting or finance area
- Maintains the databases, reports, records and control reconciliations necessary to support Finance Accounting and Control activities
- Supports the internal and external audit process
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Part qualified or beginning study towards a professional accounting qualification.

- Ability to understand and follow specific Group policies and procedures
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
- Previous experience working with financial accounting systems preferred
