The Role of a Solution Architect

The role will report into a Lead Architect within the Bank???s Enterprise Architecture & Innovation team. They are responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise architecture practise that supports the Technology directorate and the wider Bank in achieving its strategic objectives.

The Role  Required to:

?? Collaborate with the platform deployment team, refine monitoring mechanism and scope across other solution components, making sure that the scope and technical requirement is clearly defined and reasoned.

?? Work alongside the API work-stream to refine the user authentication and authorisation workflow. Support and review the development of API specifications, definitions & standards, including API management and API Security.

?? Help drive Azure Monitoring requirements specification for tracking / recording AKS / VM solution performance telemetry.

?? Deliver the assessment scope and application / platform integration approach and how this helps facilitate required service support / management model.

?? Conduct architecture assessment / evaluation of existing systems, architecture impact and documentation

?? Develop reference and target architectures, solution blueprints, technical options papers, high level designs

?? Identify architecturally significant decisions, conduct impact analysis and provide recommendations 

?? Assist ???data architect resource??? in the development of a conceptual data model, logical data model, data lineage, master matrix and meta data model.

?? Provide architecture support to a number of other key PRA initiatives in the pipeline (e.g. PRA Master data , FRN changes, Reg-tech Landscape, Data collections, Time-series),

?? Support the development of internal documentation such as the IT Assessment (ITA), Proposition document, system quality requirements and NFRs

?? Support the testing teams in refinement of the accessibility testing mechanism and components.

?? Support the development of the emerging platform architecture and associated roadmaps

?? Have prior knowledge of industry standard CMS solution (e.g.Sitecore) and integration / API (will be useful).

?? Have experience and knowledge on Cloud, Data Analytics, Integration systems, Data science, Master Data Management


Essential Criteria

??        Experience in IT architecture, including application of architecture principles to IT solution design.

??        Demonstrated experience in at least one of the areas highlighted above (obsolescence, technology tooling, regulatory systems / Sitecore, data management).

??        Understanding of cloud-based services and their exploitation relating to data for IT Solutions.

??        Proven track record of defining, implementing, and driving technical change through innovation, architectural evolution, simplification, and capability exploitation.

??        Excellent communication skills, including articulating solutions for senior stakeholders and presenting designs to governance forums.

??        Stakeholder management experience and awareness of stakeholder expectations.

??        Strategic thinking, including the ability to research and provide summarised results and recommendations.

??        Good general knowledge of IT and technology solutions.

??        Working knowledge of quality standards, legislation, and best practice.

??        Ability to adapt and prioritize.

??        Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

??        Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues, and solutions.

??        Self-managing, self-motivated

??        Banking / Financial / Legal / Government similar background
