Our client is supporting large government clients with large transformation programmes which are both complex and challenging.  An opportunity has arisen for a Solutions Architect to join the existing team to help enable key business functions under a single operating model.

The Solution Architect (SA) will lead the design and systems engineering approach for a specific product and technical area, creating complex products or continually improving the capabilities of existing systems. The SA is responsible for the development of the Solutions Outline, High Level Design and other solution-related documentation as appropriate. Where acquisition of the project involves some form of project delivery (whether traditional or agile waterfall) the SA produces the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define strategy that is central to assuring services Regularly collaborate and find agreement with senior stakeholders, providing direction and challenge Be proactive in identifying problems and translating these into non-technical descriptions that can be widely understood Mentor and coach junior colleagues;

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Current UKIC DV clearance Previous experience of working on a complex business transformation Definition of scope and objectives Development, communication and delivery of plans
• Degree or HND Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF Modelling Languages such as: ArchiMate 3.1, SysML, UML Modelling tools such as: iServer, Sparx EA Project management Requirements Management Business modelling tools such as BPNM
