Due to the secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to at least SC level. You must have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years and cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within this time.


To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident and experienced DevOps Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in a DevOps role. Other requirements for this role include:

  • AWS \ Azure cloud accreditation
  • Security based approach
  • Automation scripting i.e. Ansible \ Bash Containerisation and orchestration management i.e. Docker and Kubernetes
  • Linux
  • High competency in DB management
  • Build automation i.e. Jenkins, GitCI, Concourse
  • Networking, routing and firewall management
  • Must be comfortable in a working from home environment


Position summary:

Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their successful Delivery Centre and work across multiple industries in both the private and public sector. This work varies from rapid prototyping to multi-year digital transformation projects using a range of modern approaches and frameworks.


Job role and responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be technically minded and be able to understand the technical constraints and complexities of delivering modern software – it is critical that you have a problem-solving mentality and also be able to think outside the box. Other responsibilities for this working from home role include:

  • Ability to converse with and understand all areas and skills within cross-functional teams and be able to add to the technical solution or design of a particular project where there is value to be unlocked
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to also work with business stakeholders both internally and externally. As part of your role you may be also involved in Bid and Pre-Sales activities as part of business generation initiatives where experience of scoping and high level estimation activities would be advantageous
  • Comfortable working with clients who may not have experienced or appreciate Agile delivery methods, and you will be able to evangelise and champion lean delivery and the benefits that it provides
  • Experience working with more classical delivery methods and have demonstrable ways of overcoming the conflicts with Agile delivery
