Summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team during a significant site transformation project. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal, customer and regulatory requirements throughout this project.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a detailed process and product audits.
  • Create quality plans, process specifications and procedures.
  • Non-Conformance reviews (RCCA, 5Y, 8D).
  • Plan and execute First & Last Articles.
  • Complete internal and customer quality transition requirements.
  • Support Aerospace regulatory site approvals, including NADCAP, AS9100, Part 21, Part 145.
  • Manage elements of the Zero Defect programme to improve RFT, reducing escapes and scrap.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

To succeed in this role you'll have proven quality engineer experience within an Aerospace/ Defence Manufacturing/engineering environment. You'll have the ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines whilst being results focused with a track record of delivery of Quality improvements.
You'll also need:
  • Knowledge and experience of AS9100 Quality Systems.
  • Conversant with standards and specifications.
  • Certified Lead Auditor or equivalent experience in a related field Expert at Problem Solving ( 8D, A3).
  • Knowledge and experience in Advance Product quality Product (APQP) Lean Sigma Green Belt minimum - Preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers.
