Job Purpose

Headquartered in Poole, Heatric, a division of Meggitt (UK) Limited, design and manufacture bespoke heat transfer solutions for selected energy markets. A world leader in heat exchanger technology, Heatric have produced PCHEs for operation in extreme environments across the globe, for both existing and emerging energy markets.
As the Commercial Manager, you will deliver the commercial processes for the business, including complex contractual negotiations and agreement. Reviews and drafts contractual documentation and negotiates agreements in accordance with corporate policy and applicable legal requirements. Assesses contractual and commercial risks and provides appropriate advice to the business. Ensures Compliance activities meet business needs. Manages and develops the Bidding process in close liaison with Sales, Engineering and Project Management functions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assesses contractual and commercial risk and provides appropriate advice to Commercial Management team
  • Oversees the bid teams responses to RFI's or RFP's, including obtaining necessary internal approvals
  • Manages the Commercial team's contract amendment negotiations
  • Ensures that dissemination of agreements and contract closedown/exit activities are completed within expected timelines
  • Provides support, training and mentorship to the Commercial Management team
  • Monitors and analyzes the administration of contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and company policies
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance


Skills, Knowledge and attributes

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Experienced in reviewing and producing complex contractual agreements. Ability to balance risk with returns. Reviewing and producing high value contracts, experience to include some PowerGen, Oil and Gas contract negotiation. An appreciation of Trade Compliance requirements.
