Infrastructure Network Engineer
Working from home with travel to client site a couple of days per week
£40-50K plus extensive benefits package
Due to the secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to at least SC level. You must have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years and cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within this time.
To be successful in this role:
You will be an experienced Infrastructure Network Engineer who is comfortable working from home on your own initiative, liaising with project and change requestors to achieve client deadlines and demonstrate client facing, customer service skills. You will come from a telecoms implementation background, and other requirements for this role include:
- Strong familiarity and subject matter expertise in relation to Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Change Control, Implementation, Documentation
- Relevant qualifications (at least CCNA) and sufficient experience in relation to the above
- Good understanding of LAN / WAN / Firewalls
- Advanced Cisco IOS skills & experience
- Strong familiarity with a wide range of Firewall vendors (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, McAfee)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, sub-netting, IP address allocation & management
- Strong understanding of ITIL and change management methodology
- WAN installation/migration experience

Job role and responsibilities:
The main objectives of the role are to implement network changes that achieve a high level of client satisfaction, delivering on time, within budget and to a high standard. As an Infrastructure Network Engineer, you will install network and security devices, configure and troubleshoot any issues resulting from changes on commercial and secure clients in our clients Data Centres and on UK client sites.
This role also offers career progression pathway to a Senior Network Engineer role involved with more complex projects and new business transitions, contributing to the network design.
